The dress...Thank you for your Flora Dress pattern. The dress is beautiful, so I've decided to knit a size 9-12-month dress for my granddaughter. However, I am stuck on Chart A. I hope you can help me. The questions are as follows:

1. Am I supposed to knit Row 1 nine times, then knit Row 2 nine times, and so on?

2. Before I started Row 1, I had 99 stitches. After finishing Row 1, I had 171 stitches (19 stitches times 9). However, when I worked on Row 2, (171 divided by 11 equals 15 with 6 remaining stitches), I had 6 remaining stitches. What do I do with the 6 remaining stitches? Should I continue the 11-stitch pattern into Row 3? Or should I stop the pattern after 6 stitches and then begin the 11-stitch pattern at the beginning of Row 3?

3. If I continue with the 3s and 5s increases for each row, I will end up with approximately 285 stitches after the third row. That's a lot of stitches after 9 rows.

I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much in advance.

GGGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08839683930154896635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4306571095620095187.post-73536201212904505542020-11-25T20:09:11.788-06:002020-11-25T20:09:11.788-06:00I am really loving the theme/design of your web si...I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. I have self taught myself to crochet, however, and wish so much this was in a crochet pattern. Is it only a knitting pattern at the moment? It is absolutely stunning and you have been so creative in the design. You should be very proud of yourself and most of all the gratitude of all of us that you are sharing your hard work with. I am confused how it works when working in the round using iterations. I have knitted the first two rows and I just cannot get the stitches to line up.

Here's where I am at.
row 1 I did the sl, k2t, psso in the middle and then YO to add a stitch between the two Purl stitches. Row 2 knitted the YO stitch for the previous row.

However after knitting the YO stitch ( last stitch ) on row 2, I am looking to start row 3 but my purl stitches still line up. So if I did a Purl as the chart says my purl stitch would be on top of my row 2 purl stitch and there would be no slant.

I think to clarify this I need to know, on line 3 what stitch should be before the first purl ( above row 2s purl) , on the chart it is not included.

I hope someone can understand this, thanks so much to anyone offering help.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4306571095620095187.post-62151374710903791492012-03-13T12:35:12.739-06:002012-03-13T12:35:12.739-06:00I just joined today and was browsing when I spotte...I just joined today and was browsing when I spotted this adorable little dress.
